Four years after opening its first “iPad ordering” restaurant in Torrance, Newport Beach-based Stacked: Food Well Built is coming home.
The restaurant, co-founded in 2011 by the former executives at Huntington Beach-based BJ’s Restaurants Inc., is planning to open its first Orange County restaurant in Huntington Beach. The restaurant, which allows customers to order and pay for their food using table side tablets, is taking over a closed Denny’s on Edinger near the Bella Terra mall.
When the first Stacked opened in Torrance, the restaurant earned buzz for being a pioneer of table-side ordering using iPads. Its menu is designed around customization of comfort food classics: burgers, sandwiches, pizzas, salads and mac ‘n’ cheese.
